ICL 2019 Highlights

Sheena Kapoor

Sheena is a marketer with over 15 years of experience having held various leadership positions with Edelweiss Group and with Times Group for nearly 11 years across their media, real estate and financial services division.

She’s currently working with Edelweiss Group as VP Marketing, spearheading brand and corporate marketing initiatives for the group. She is instrumental in building the sports association for the Group as Principal Sponsor Team India for Olympics. She manages brand ambassadors including Irrfan Khan, Hima Das, Manika Batra, Rani and Saina Nehwal in the past. She has led award winning integrated brand campaigns including CWG & Asian Games 2018, SME Business Loans amongst many others. In 3 years with Edelweiss, she has bagged over 50 marketing awards for various initiatives.

Prior to this, she was heading Innovations for Times of India Group pan India and driving revenues through innovative, clutter breaking advertising solutions that include disruptive ads, fragrance issues, augmented reality app (Alive) and a plethora of creative uses of print and digital media. Most were award winning campaigns, bagging Gold & Silver at Abbys 2014 for Most Innovative Brand Campaign – Vaseline and for augmented reality app TimesAlive. The campaigns also won at prestigious INMA Awards for Best New Mobile Service and Best Idea to Create Profit Centre.  She was also conferred the “Chairman’s Award for Excellence” at BCCL.

In her previous stints, she was heading marketing for Artha Property, real estate division of Times Group, where she set up the company as part of the co-promoter team, having successfully launched over 50 residential projects across South India. Before Artha, she was heading brand and communciation for TimesofMoney, the financial services division of the group, accredited with being ‘World’s No. I Money Transfer Portal’(ACNielsen).

By qualification, she has done her Brand Management Course from ISB, Hyderabad and holds an MBA from SIBM, Pune. She has represented India at the International Relations Conference at Oxford on a full scholarship and has won multiple awards, including Award for Innovation by TSCFM and ‘Innovator in Marketing’ at the International Women Leaders Forum.
